While Mel was away on one of his earlier trips, he found a boys’ orphanage facing the rainy season with no roof.. He sent a message back to Lanchester via Sue and fundraising started in earnest. Much money was raised and the building completed - it was named “Lanchester House” in recognition of the support given by the people of Lanchester. Mel and Sue have recently visited the project again to see the good use that the money raised as been put to in developing the project further. Click here to see pictures of Lanchester House
